Welcome to Karst Almighty. This site contains photographs of karst landscapes, karst formations, and karst features. Karst is a word that describes landforms where bedrock has been shaped by a chemical reaction with water. Limestone, dolomite, marble and gypsum are all slightly soluble in water and, given enough time, will dissolve to produce distinctive shapes both on the surface and below.
