The UVic Caving Club is based in Victoria, British Columbia on Vancouver Island.
Trips are made to various caves on Vancouver Island, the caves visited can be very demanding, good physical shape is a must. Cave temperatures are at a constant 4 °C and can be almost 100% humidity, so care is needed when preparing for a trip.
Vertical rope work, team skills are taught before anyone is taken underground and all efforts are given to make each trip as safe as possible.
The trip leaders are members of the Vancouver Island Cave Exploration Group (VICEG) and both the UVic Club and VICEG are affiliated with the British Columbia Speleological Federation
